In an effort to distract myself from the sad news of the day, I came across the Jacket Everyday™ project. What a clever idea! In the past, I have dabbled in cross-stitch, even finding some really fun/funky pattern sellers on Etsy. I must admit that I can only appreciate the beauty that is embroidery! One Artist that has caught my eye lately is Sarah K. Benning. Take a look at her work, it is beautiful, and of course features succulents! Notcot has a great little post about her too… with even more photos.
After taking the Moroccan Cooking class at the Baltimore Chef Shop, Aaron and I decided to make our own preserved lemons, which were a key ingredient in some of the dishes we made. The Chef Shop has a great step by step guide here, but here are a few a few pics we took while making our own. We used Meyer Lemons, which are said to be sweeter, I’ll report back in 6 weeks as to the success of this endeavor.
Friends! I know it has been a while, but anyone who knows me is aware that I have been just a tad overwhelmed lately. I am going back to the blog. Here is an illustration from design is mine, that struck me! Happy Thursday!
