This is the Sugarchair it is a colorful chair (I felt that some color was needed on a rainy day like today) made entirely out of sugar. Sweet!

In the spirit of this blog originally being about all things color related (for my Color Workshop class at Pratt) I saw these amazing spoons on the dieline.
First off, the packaging is super cool but I must say that I am drawn to the saturated colors of these awesome utensils! Actually, with further inspection I realized they are baby spoons! Here is the little product story:
“Did you know silver is naturally anti-microbial? Well it is, so we infused a proprietary silver ion into a new line of modern and colorful baby utensils in order to create Silver Spoon TM. We want to make absolutely sure your baby gets fed germ-free and in style – without the use of nasty germicidal chemicals.”
Over the weekend I was flipping through the New York Times Magazine and came across some images that were so striking that I had to share… these are just beautiful. Edward Burtynsky is the photographer and here is a link to the article.
I just got back to the studio from the MoCCA Festival and it was a huge success! Not only did I buy lots of new graphic novels but I got to see my favorite Graphic Novelist, Alex Robinson! In addition to getting his latest mini-comic and having it signed, I had something for him. This semester in my Visual Perception class I designed a series of book covers for graphic novels. For my solution on space and light I decided to redesign one of my all-time favorite graphic novels, Robinson’s Box Office Poison. Here is my redesign with, Alex’s signature on it from today!
Additionally, I gave Alex a copy and he loved it! He also asked for my business card and asked if he could put it on his blog!! If indeed he does I will be sure to blog about it! What an awesome Day!
April 12, 2011 Update!
So I woke up this morning to see that Alex has blogged about me!! and he posted the same on his Facebook page! I have never been blogged about… I am so excited! Here is a little screen shot of Alex’s blog!
As an act of procrastination I was surfing the interwebs and came across this little gem of a website! The Camera Collection is this adorable little (colorful also!) website that describes itself as “A collection of 100 pixelated camera illustrations for anybody to download and use in whatever way they see fit.” Enjoy!
