MoCCA and Alex Robinson (updated)

Sunday, April 10, 2011

I just got back to the studio from the MoCCA Festival and it was a huge success! Not only did I buy lots of new graphic novels but I got to see my favorite Graphic Novelist, Alex Robinson! In addition to getting his latest mini-comic and having it signed, I had something for him. This semester in my Visual Perception class I designed a series of book covers for graphic novels. For my solution on space and light I decided to redesign one of my all-time favorite graphic novels, Robinson’s Box Office Poison. Here is my redesign with, Alex’s signature on it from today!

Additionally, I gave Alex a copy and he loved it! He also asked for my business card and asked if he could put it on his blog!! If indeed he does I will be sure to blog about it! What an awesome Day!

April 12, 2011 Update!

So I woke up this morning to see that Alex has blogged about me!! and he posted the same on his Facebook page! I have never been blogged about… I am so excited! Here is a little screen shot of Alex’s blog!

An awesome (if you are a nerdy designer like me) timewaster

Sunday, March 6, 2011

OK, so one final post then back to the books… I just came across this website called Famous Objects From Classic Movies it is a super fun game that combines ones knowledge of movies combined with one symbol that represents a major and or memorable theme or event from said film!
